2.244 Million Cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine

In Ukraine, there were 2.244 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19, an increase over the day, July 18, – almost 200, a slight decrease compared to the day before, but traditional for the weekend. 307 people were hospitalized per day, which is slightly less than the day before. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

“For the day of July 18, 2021, in Ukraine, 182 new confirmed cases of coronavirus COVID-19 were recorded,” the Ministry of Health said.

Also for the past day:

307 people were hospitalized;

fatalities – 5;

187 people recovered;

tested: by PCR – 9,587 people, by ELISA – 1,613 people, by rapid tests – 5,770 people.

During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:

fell ill – 2,244,677 people;

2,181,385 people recovered;

fatalities – 52,731;

PCR tests were performed – 11,161,068.

Of the patients for the past day – 11 children. No doctor fell ill.

Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv (82), Odesa (18), Zhytomyr (18), Kyiv (12), and Kharkiv (10) oblasts.

Vinnytsia region – 2 cases;

Volyn region – 1 case;

Dnipropetrovsk region – 7 cases;

Donetsk region – 2 cases;

Zhytomyr region – 18 cases;

Kyiv region – 12 cases;

Kirovograd region – 1 case;

Luhansk region – 1 case;

Lviv region – 3 cases;

Mykolayiv region – 6 cases;

Odessa region – 18 cases;

Poltava region – 2 cases;

Rivne region – 2 cases;

Sumy region – 3 cases;

Ternopil region – 3 cases;

Kharkiv region – 10 cases;

Kherson region – 2 cases;

Cherkasy region – 5 cases;

Chernivtsi region – 2 cases;

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk oblasts, and the city of Sevastopol are missing.

According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 18th in distribution and 18th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.
