The state of Canada, British Columbia, has declared a state of emergency due to a large number of forest fires.

The state of emergency takes effect on July 21 and will last for 14 days, but can be extended or shortened. Nearly 300 forest fires are raging in British Columbia, and 5,700 people have been evacuated.
“A state of emergency is declared throughout the province and ensures the proper and coordinated use of federal, provincial, and local resources to protect the public. More than 3,180 firefighters are currently actively involved in fighting the fire in all regions of the province, ”the statement said.
In the Canadian province of British Columbia, the military will be involved to help fight forest fires.
