Bezos said the money was related to an “unexpected” charitable initiative he wanted to announce, called the Courage and Politeness Award. It aims to honor those who “showed courage” and tried to unite a divided and divided world.
About this initiative, Bezos says, “We need a united world in which divisions do not appear. We need people who argue hard and act hard according to what they believe in. But they always do it politely and never attack people. Unfortunately, we live in a world that is not like this. “But we have role models,” Bezos said.
Commenting on the award, CNN correspondent Van Jones said that “dreams sometimes come true,” while Chef Andres, who has worked to feed the needy around the world, said that this award alone “can’t feed the world,” but it is the beginning of a new chapter for him.
