It will take years for the Russian Federation to file a complaint with the European Court of Human Rights. This assessment was given by the Minister of Justice of Ukraine Denys Malyuska on one of the Ukrainian TV channels.
Kyiv. Ukraine. Ukraine Gate – July 24, 2021 – Ukraine News
“We estimate that the consideration of the complaint of the Russian Federation will take years. This is a completely hopeless story because it contains a weak legal argument. In essence, this is a repetition of the myths that Russia broadcasts on its television, ”the minister said.
Russia’s complaint against Ukraine to the European Court of Human Rights
The Russian authorities appealed to the European Court of Human Rights with the first interstate complaint against another state – Ukraine.
Thus, Moscow has complained to the ECHR in Ukraine, putting in Kyiv responsibility, particularly for the deaths of civilians Donbas and the crash of flight MH17.
Russian diplomats believe that Moscow allegedly “has all the legal grounds to initiate proceedings in the European Court of Human Rights, as it defends the European legal order.”
The Minister of Justice of Ukraine Denis Malyuska stated that from a legal point of view, Russia is facing an inevitable defeat in the European Court of Human Rights in the case of their interstate complaint against Ukraine.
