2.248 Million Cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine

In Ukraine, there were 2.248 million cases of coronavirus COVID-19, an increase over the day, July 24 – almost 300, which is at the level of the previous day. 422 people were hospitalized per day, more than the day before. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

“For the day of July 24, 2021, in Ukraine recorded 286 new confirmed cases of coronavirus COVID-19 (including children – 19, nurses – 2),” – said in a statement.

Also for the past day:

– 422 people were hospitalized;

– fatal cases – 12;

– recovered – 159 people;

Tested per day:

– by PCR – 26,197 people,

– by ELISA – 2,823 people,

– by express tests – 10,386 people.

During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:

– fell ill – 2,248,450 people;

– recovered – 2,184,195 people;

– fatalities – 52,847;

– PCR tests were performed – 11,271,382.

Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv (85), Odesa (23), Dnipropetrovsk (21), Lviv (19), and Zaporizhia (18) oblasts.

Quarantine to counter the spread of a new type of coronavirus in Ukraine was introduced on March 12, 2020. Then it was repeatedly continued and transferred to the form of adaptive quarantine in the summer.
