“During the ceasefire from July 27, 2020, to July 27, 2021, 1995 shellings were recorded, 45 were killed and 163 servicemen were injured (data from the Environmental Protection Headquarters, to be clarified),” the statement said.
It is also reported that from July 27, 2019, to July 26, 2020, the armed forces of the Russian Federation fired 4,257 times, 88 Ukrainian servicemen were killed and 494 were wounded.
The TCG noted that as a result of the declared armistice, there were twice as many deaths of Ukrainian servicemen in Donbas, three times less wounded, almost three times less shelling, compared to the period from July 2019 to July 2020.
The TCG stressed that the Crimean Platform summit, which will begin the process of de-occupation of Crimea, became possible and representative largely because “Ukraine has earned a reputation this year as a responsible state that fulfills its agreements, even in adverse circumstances.”
During the past 24hrs, on July 26, 15 ceasefire violations were recorded. As a result of enemy shelling, four servicemen received shrapnel wounds, and three more received combat injuries.
On July 26, 10 ceasefire violations were recorded in Donbas since the beginning of the day.
