South and North Korea have reestablished once-broken hotlines as part of the two leaders’ efforts to restore tensions.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un exchanged several letters and agreed to restore hotlines.
North Korea’s state media, KCNA, also reported that all inter-Korean communication channels resumed work at 10 a.m. Tuesday (1:00 a.m. Greenwich) under an agreement between Moon and Kim.
US President Joe Biden has extended the regime of unilateral US sanctions against the DPRK for another year.
