On the occasion of the 1033rd anniversary of the baptism, thousands of believers gathered in the capital, who marched from Volodymyrska Hill to the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, reports the correspondent of Parliament.UA.
The press service of the National Guard of Ukraine reports that it has stepped up the increased duty in the center of Kyiv due to the march of the faithful.
More than two thousand servicemen of the NMU together with the staff of the National Police of Ukraine will intensify the protection of public order during the planned mass events, – it is said in the message.
In addition, along the route of the convoy, law enforcement officers organized locations with tents for the distribution of drinking water, where medical workers are also present.
