The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) produced the first coin from the Fauna series for the Chernobyl Reserve. This was reported in the Chernobyl Radiation-Ecological Biosphere Reserve, reports “Comments”.
It is noted that the first coin from the “Fauna” series is dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the Chernobyl Reserve. The new coin was put into circulation on July 29. Its face value is five hryvnias. The coin depicts one of the symbols of the revival of wildlife in the exclusion zone and the iconic animal of the Chernobyl Reserve – Przewalski’s horse.
Among the rare Ukrainian coins, there is one hryvnia coin dated 1995. In July, they were ready to buy it from 7000 hryvnias. Such a hryvnia is valuable in that it is distinguished by a rare year of issue and a smooth edge. In addition, numismatists are interested in coins made in 1992. About 80 participants of the event wanted to buy this hryvnia at the auction. More than 15,000 hryvnias were paid for it.
We add that a coin with a face value of one kopeck, which is dated 1992, can be purchased thousands of times more than the face value. The price of such a coin is from 5 to 15,000 hryvnia. The price depends on the shape of the leaves and the engraving of the grains on the penny. In addition, you can buy Ukrainian 50 kopecks for more than a thousand hryvnias. Moreover, they must be dated 1992 or 1996. Money should also have differences in the form of a thin trident, a special trapezoid, or a small notch.
