In Ukraine, the accessibility of a number of buildings and social infrastructure facilities for low-mobility groups, in particular, schools and kindergartens, will be monitored.

This was announced by Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development Natalia Kozlovska.
According to her, based on the results of the inspections, the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development will form a regional rating of barrier-free.
“The Ministry of Regional Development together with public organizations has identified the types of facilities to be monitored and assessed the degree of accessibility in 2021. The Ministry has already sent a letter to the regional state administrations and the Kyiv City State Administration. Regions should conduct a proper inspection of buildings and premises in accordance with the procedures set out in the Procedure for monitoring and assessing the degree of accessibility of physical facilities and services for low-mobility groups, “- said the official.
It is expected that the results of monitoring in each region will be sent to the Ministry of Community Development by October 31.
