The combined diving unit of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on board the search and rescue vessel “Alexander Okhrimenko” arrived at the naval base of the Romanian Naval Forces in Constanta.

In particular, the purpose of the visit is to participate in the multinational mine diving exercise “Dive – 2021”.
Currently, the participants have started preparing the equipment for the start of the training, which will begin on August 2 with the participation of representatives of Ukraine, the United States, Bulgaria, Romania, Georgia, and Azerbaijan. In total, “Dive – 2021” will consist of four phases and will take place in the Black Sea, within the territorial waters of Romania.
On June 28, the large naval exercises Sea Breeze – 2021 started in the Black Sea. The co-organizers of these multinational exercises are Ukraine and the United States.
This year’s Sea Breeze series was the largest, as evidenced by a record number of participating countries, and lasted from June 28 to July 10 in Odessa, Ochakov, Dniester estuary, Kinburn Spit, Snake and Pervomaisky islands, and other parts of our country. They were attended by about 30 ships, boats, and vessels, more than 30 aircraft, and helicopters, up to 5,000 personnel, and 50 units of weapons and military equipment.
