In Ukraine, 2.255 million cases of coronavirus COVID-19 were recorded, an increase of 244 per day on August 3, which is higher than the previous day. 572 people were hospitalized per day, which is higher than the day before. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

“As of August 3, 2021, 984 new confirmed cases of coronavirus COVID-19 (including 59 children and 48 medical workers) were registered in Ukraine,” the statement reads.
Also for the past day:
– 572 people were hospitalized;
– fatal cases – 43;
– 570 people recovered;
Tested per day:
– by PCR – 22 533 people,
– by ELISA – 8 064 people,
– by express tests – 16 845 people.
During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:
– 2,255,345 people fell ill;
– recovered – 2,188,273 persons;
– fatalities – 53,024;
– PCR tests were performed – 11,446,663.
Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv (236), Donetsk (91), Kharkiv (75), Kherson (71), and Dnipropetrovsk (64) oblasts.
Quarantine to counter the spread of a new type of coronavirus in Ukraine was introduced on March 12, 2020. Then it was repeatedly continued and transferred to the form of adaptive quarantine in the summer.
