The ex-judge of the Dniprovsky District Court of Kyiv Mykola Chaus will be under the protection of the Security Service of Ukraine until the session of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) in August 4. His lawyer Rostislav Kravets told Telegram about this on Tuesday.

“The investigation with Mykola Chaus has just ended. The SBU handed over NABU to Mykola Chaus. But he is still under the protection of the SBU. Until tomorrow’s trial, he will be placed in the SBU’s ITT (temporary detention facility) and under the SBU’s protection, ”Kravets said.
On August 3, NABU detectives detained Mykola Chaus, an ex-judge of the Dniprovsky District Court of Kyiv, who is suspected of bribery at the Feofania Hospital.
It is reported that he was handed a request for the application of a precautionary measure, the decision on which is to be adopted today, August 4, by the WACS. The meeting is scheduled for 14:00.
As it became known from the media, on Friday, July 30, a resident of the village of Mazurivka, Vinnytsia region, called the police and said that a man named Chaus Mykola Oleksiyovych, born in 1966, had appeared in the village.
Chaus allegedly confirmed that he had been abducted by unknown individuals and confirmed that he was an ex-judge of the Dnipro District Court of Kyiv.
As Chaus’s lawyer Oleksandr Vyshnevyi reported, NABU detectives were sent to the Vinnytsia region to detain him.
NABU called on law enforcement officers to hand over the suspect to a former judge. News media reported that the accused Chaus was intercepted by the Security Service of Ukraine.
