In Ukraine, 2.257 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 have been recorded, an increase over the day, August 5, – almost 1.1 thousand, which is more than the day before. 516 people were hospitalized per day, a decrease against the figure the day before. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

“For the day of August 5, 2021, in Ukraine recorded 1,081 new confirmed cases of coronavirus COVID-19,” – said the Ministry of Health.
Also for the past day:
516 people were hospitalized;
fatalities – 16;
478 people recovered;
tested: by PCR – 19,929 people, by ELISA – 7,546 people, by rapid tests – 15,122 people.
During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:
fell ill – 2,257,478 people;
recovered – 2,189,293 people;
fatalities – 53,065;
PCR tests were performed – 11,487,542.
Of the patients for the past day: children – 74, health workers – 32.
Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv (164), Kherson (95), Odesa (92), Kharkiv (83), and Lviv (64) oblasts.
According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 18th in distribution and 18th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.
