Ukrainian Olympians will be able to receive a monetary reward from the state for earned medals – from 55 to 125 thousand dollars. This was reported in the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.

For winning prizes and medals at the XXXII Olympic Games, Ukrainian athletes this year will receive a monetary reward from the state: for Olympic “gold” – 125 thousand dollars, for “silver” – 80 thousand dollars, for “bronze” – 55 thousand dollars.
Today in the treasury of Ukraine there are 1 “gold”, 3 “silver”, 10 bronze awards. For comparison, at the Olympic Games in Rio 2016, 11 medals were won, of which – 2 “gold”, 5 silver medals, 4 “bronze”.
Note that the last day of competitions in Tokyo 2020 – August 8.
By the way, today the 14th prize for the national team of Ukraine at the Olympics in Tokyo was chosen by the Ukrainian karate player Stanislav Gouna. He won ” bronze “, performing in the weight of up to 75 kg.
