The European Union said that next week it will review the list of countries through which travel is allowed and the US presence on the so-called “white list” will be reviewed.

Europe Truth said that the whitelist includes more than twenty countries, including the United States, Japan, and Australia, which are considered safe countries in terms of the Coronavirus.
An EU official said next week’s meeting may also assess the situation in the US and that no decision has been made on this yet.
European Union officials also regularly review the list as the epidemiological situation progresses.
On the other hand, the Washington bloc has repeatedly called for the start of accepting European Union citizens after Brussels included the United States on the white list in June.
A Slovenian EU spokesperson said: “Several representatives of EU member states and the EU itself spoke with our US counterparts about plans to open the country to visitors from EU countries, especially after a European move that allowed US citizens to travel.”
Although EU governments generally use the optional list, they can still ignore it and accept nationals from countries, not on the list.
Officials said the 27-nation bloc is divided into countries that demand reciprocity from the United States and other countries that rely more on tourism and are not ready to remove Washington from the list.
