In Kyiv, large-scale traffic jams are planned during the rehearsals of the Independence Day parade on August 18, 20, and 22, and during the ceremonial events on August 24.

In particular, August 18, 20, 22:
from 15:30 to 18:00 there is a temporary restriction of traffic on Akademika Tupoleva Street, ave. Victory, Marshal Fisherman, st. Vyacheslav Chornovil, street Starovokzalniy, street Zhylyanska, street Antonovich.
From 15:30 until the end of the event (approximately until 01:15) it is planned to block traffic on Velyka Vasylkivska Street (in the area from Lybidska Square to Khreschatyk Street), Khreshchatyk, street Mykhailivska (on the section from Volodymyrska Street to Independence Square), Mykhailo Hrushevsky (on the section from European Square to the fortress lane), Petrovska Alley, Park Road, Volodymyrsky Descent, Borychev Descent, st. Naberezhno-Khreschatytska from Borychevo descent along the oncoming lane to Nizhny Val (shaft), Naberezhnoho highway (from Dniprovskoho descent to Naberezhno-Khreschatytska Street).
From 19:00 until the end of the event (approximately until 01:15) temporary restriction of traffic on Nyzhniy Val Street. Hlybochytska, Hlybochytska passage, street Vyacheslav Chornovil, ave. Victory, street Starovokzalniy, street Zhylyanska, street Antonovich.
August 24th:
From 06:00 to 08:00 temporary restriction of traffic on Akademika Tupoleva Street, ave. Victory, Marshal Fisherman, st. Vyacheslav Chornovil, street Starovokzalniy, street Zhylyanska, street Antonovich.
From 06:00 to 12:00 will block traffic on the street. Velyka Vasylkivska (in the area from Lybidska Square to Khreschatyk Street), from 06:00
until 16:00 approximately – on Khreschatyk Street, Mykhailivska (on the section from Volodymyrska Street to Independence Square), Volodymyrska Descent, Mykhailo Hrushevsky (on the section from European Square to the fortress lane), Petrovska Alley, Park Road.
Separately, traffic jams may be blocked during events with the participation of persons subject to state protection:
from August 22 to 24 – on Park Road;
from 06:00 on August 20 to August 24 – on the street. Mykhailo Hrushevsky;
from 06:00 on August 23 until the end of the event – on Volodymyrska Street (in the area from Velyka Zhytomyrska Street to Taras Shevchenko Street), Bohdan Khmelnytsky (on the section from Leontovycha Street to Repin Street), Yaroslaviv Val (on the section from Ivana Franka Street to Volodymyrska Street), Mykola Lysenko, street Mala Zhytomyrska (in the area from Volodymyrsky Proezd to Mykhailivsky Lane).
“Please note that a detailed list of streets where traffic will be blocked or restricted during military parade rehearsals and during Independence Day celebrations will be published additionally. Changes in public transport in the capital will also be announced separately,” the statement said.
In addition, during the training on August 18, 20, 22, the access of citizens to the territory adjacent to the places of artillery salute on Trukhanov Island will be limited.
