In the American city of Chicago, 70 thousand yellow rubber ducks were thrown into the river for the Chicago Ducky Derby 2021 competition. Anyone could participate in the event by purchasing a duck for five dollars.

The Duck Event was organized by Special Olympics Illinois, a nonprofit charity dedicated to competing athletes with intellectual disabilities.
In order to launch all the ducks, a truck was needed. After the end of the event, all toy rubber products were fished out of the water.
The organizers managed to collect more than 310 thousand dollars.
