Markevich said he had a conversation with UAF President Andriy Pavelko, who informed him about Rebrov’s appointment.
“I was told that Rebrov would be the head coach,” Markevich said.
According to him, the name of the new head coach of the national team of Ukraine will be officially announced on August 9.
In addition, Markevich noted that he decided to leave his place in the Ukrainian Football Association.
Earlier, the head coach of the national team of Ukraine Andriy Shevchenko announced that he was leaving the national team due to the expiration of his contract.
Myron Markevich and Serhiy Rebrov were the main candidates for the position of coach of the “yellow-blues”.
