Canada’s Kelsey Mitchell became the Olympic champion, and third place went to Lei Weiss from Hong Kong.
It should be noted that earlier at the Olympics in Tokyo Starikova took fourth place in the discipline of keirin.
It will be recalled that at the stage of the quarterfinals Starikova unexpectedly defeated the main favorite of the cycling competition.

Ukraine is represented by 157 athletes at the Olympics in Tokyo.
Olena Kostevych and Bohdan Nikishyn carried the flag of Ukraine at the opening ceremony of the Games.
Ukrainian athletes will receive $ 125,000 for gold medals at the Olympics, $ 80,000 for silver, and $ 55 for bronze.
Ukraine won 12 bronze medals in Tokyo. They were won by judoka Daria Bilodid, swordsman Igor Reizlin, shooters Olena Kostevych and Oleg Omelchuk (in a duet), swimmer Mykhailo Romanchuk (800 meters), tennis player Elina Svitolina, Alla Cherkasova and Iryna Kolyadenko (both in freestyle wrestling), Marta Fedina and Anastasia Savchuk (in a duet in artistic swimming), Lyudmila Luzan (in rowing), karate player Stanislav Gouna, Ukrainian national team in artistic swimming, and Yaroslava Maguchykh in the high jump.
Ukraine already has 6 silver awards. On August 1, Ukraine won the first silver medal – swimmer Mykhailo Romanchuk became the second in the 1500 meters. On August 4, Greco-Roman wrestler Parviz Nasibov also won a silver medal. Karateka Anzhelika Terliuga also won silver. On August 7, Lyudmila Luzan and Anastasia Chetverikova (in canoe doubles) and boxer Oleksandr Khyzhnyak won silver medals.
Jean Beleniuk won the gold medal at the Tokyo Games for Ukraine.
