The state will conduct an audit of the activities of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences in the framework of the planned reform of the system of academies of sciences.

The audit of the academy’s activities will take place in accordance with the order of the Cabinet of Ministers, which was approved on August 4.
Representatives of the Ministry of Education, the State Property Fund, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Finance, and other agencies will be involved in the audit.
It is planned that within the framework of the measures the current condition of land plots, property complexes and material and technical base of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences, audit of financial condition and efficiency of use of state budget funds, audit of the organizational structure of scientific institutions and their reorganization, audit of condition and directions increasing the efficiency and development of the scientific activity, etc.
The Ministry of Education and Science notes that the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers is aimed at implementing the Government’s priority action plan for 2021.
“Branch science is an important part of the scientific sphere, so one of the planned tasks for this year was to improve the work of national branch academies of sciences. We hope that effective steps in this direction will contribute to the development of scientific activities of national branch academies of sciences, increase the efficiency of the state budget, and the management of state-owned facilities run by the academies, “said the Minister of Education and Science Serhiy Shkarlet.
In addition to the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences, the audit will be conducted in two branch academies of sciences – the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences and the National Academy of Legal Sciences.
According to the Government’s priority action plan for 2021, the network of scientific institutions under the auspices of these academies of sciences will be optimized based on the results of a comprehensive assessment.
It is also planned to increase the efficiency of the use of land plots used by academies of sciences, state-owned objects included in their property complexes and to increase the efficiency of the use of state budget funds by academies of sciences.
