There is a shortage of about 3,000 patrol police in Ukraine. This was reported by the Patrol Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine in response to a request.

“The number of PPP police officers (in the Patrol Police Department – ed.) As of July 28, 2021, is 2,951 positions,” – said in response to a request.
It is reported that the largest shortage of police officers – in the patrol police department in Kyiv – 578 positions.
We will add that earlier in the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that police officers are dismissed en masse because of low salaries.
Former Deputy Interior Minister Anton Gerashchenko said that patrolmen risk their lives every day and receive only 13.5 thousand hryvnias for it.
According to him, the average salary in the police is only 15 thousand hryvnias, 4-5 times less than in NABU or DBR.
We will remind, in Ukraine for six years during carrying out of duties seven patrol policemen were lost.
The Patrol Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine has been operating since July 2015.
