The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry called on the international community to maintain pressure on Russia to end the occupation of Georgian territories in Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

In a statement issued on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of the Russian armed aggression against Georgia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to continue to pressure the Russian Federation to fulfill its obligations under the ceasefire agreement of August 12, 2008, to withdraw its forces from the occupied Georgian territories, Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region of South Ossetia, and to implement measures another to disarm and dismantle these Georgian lands.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that the Russian Federation bears full responsibility for the difficult humanitarian situation in the occupied territories, and must immediately ensure unimpeded access to international humanitarian and human rights organizations.
