Kyiv. Ukraine. Ukraine Gate – August 09, 2021 – Reports
The most affected areas are Hamirpur and Jalun in the Bundelkhand region.
The Bundelkhand region, which usually receives less or less rainfall, has been hit hardest by the fact that the Jamna River has overflowed its banks in at least five places.
In the Gonda area, the primary school was “washed away” after the water level in the Ghaghara River rose on Sunday.
One-third of the total number of villages affected by the floods were completely cut off from the rest of the territory.
“The water level in the Ganges is currently two meters above the dangerous level due to the discharge of large amounts of water from Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. This has led to floods in 50 villages. At least 200 families have been relocated to safety,” local officials said.
