Experts have named the Snov River in Chernihiv Region the cleanest in Europe.

The Dream River is a right tributary of the Desna. It is 253 kilometers long, 200 km in Ukraine.
Snov – a straight tributary of the Desna. The total length is 253 km, of which within Ukraine – 200 km. It originates in Russia, in Ukraine, it flows through the Chernihiv region. It flows into the Desna near the village of Brusyliv.
There are more than 14 species of fish in Snov. Among them: catfish, pike, tench, gossip, perch, roach, redfin, etc. On the right bank of the river is the ancient village of Sedniv, known for its rich historical past.
In the early Middle Ages, it was one of the centers of the tribe of northerners, and later became part of Kievan Rus, becoming one of the important cities of the then state. In addition, the known historical facts about this river include the fact that the first chronicle mention of the reservoir dates back to 1068. It was here that the famous Battle of Snovsk took place between the wife of Prince Svyatoslav Yaroslavovich and the Polovtsians near the town of Snovesk (now Sedniv), in which the wife of the Prince of Chernihiv defeated a 12,000-strong detachment of Polovtsians.
Currently, the river Snov is a famous tourist location in Ukraine. Tourists note its clear water, incredibly clean sandy beaches. Experts also say that the water has a high content of iodine, which makes it somewhat healing.
