2.26 Million Cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine

In Ukraine, 2.26 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 have already been recorded, an increase over the day on August 9 – almost 800, more than doubling against the figure the day before. At the same time, 335 people were hospitalized per day, which is less than the day before. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

“For the day of August 9, 2021, in Ukraine recorded 781 new confirmed cases of coronavirus COVID-19,” – said the Ministry of Health.

Also for the past day:

335 people were hospitalized;

fatalities – 24;

1 390 people recovered;

tested: by PCR – 21,705 people, by ELISA – 7,698 people, by rapid tests – 15,150 people.

During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:

fell ill – 2,260,232 people;

recovered – 2,192,592 people;

fatalities – 53,124;

PCR tests were performed – 11,559,179.

Of the patients for the past day: 37 children, 28 medical workers.

Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv (167), Donetsk (78), Odesa (62), Kharkiv (60), Khmelnytsky (35), and Poltava (35) oblasts.

According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 18th in distribution and 18th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.
