The head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv, Andriy Kryshchenko, has confirmed his resignation after a change of interior minister last month. Kryshchenko on Facebook on Wednesday, August 11, reported that his corresponding report was satisfied.

“I submitted a report on his resignation. And yesterday he was satisfied,” Kryshchenko said.
He recalled his work in the position he held for more than five and a half years, together with the capital’s police. “And I am sure that you will continue to work without slowing down. I was proud and will always be proud of our joint work. I am honored!” he wrote.
Rumors of the resignation of Kyiv’s police chief began to be discussed last week. However, then UNN in the press service of the Kyiv police noted that Kryshchenko continues to work. Meanwhile, the name of the probable candidate for a position already appeared in mass media – Ivan Vygivsky who now heads the Poltava police, and earlier was in a leading position in the Nikolaev head office. However, the information is unconfirmed. Meanwhile, the presentation of the new head of the Kyiv police is expected, according to reports, today, even called the time – 11 o’clock.
According to the website of the National Police, Kryshchenko has held the position of Deputy Chief of the National Police – Chief of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv since December 15, 2015.
On July 15, the Verkhovna Rada supported the resignation of Arsen Avakov from the post of Minister of Internal Affairs and appointed Denis Monastyrsky, People’s Deputy from the presidential political force “Servant of the People”, to this post. After that, the dismissals of Avakov’s deputies began.
Thus, the Cabinet of Ministers initially dismissed, in particular, First Deputy Interior Minister Serhiy Yarovy, who had held the post since 2014.
And on August 4, the Cabinet of Ministers dismissed Anton Gerashchenko from the post of Deputy Interior Minister.
