The players of English “Chelsea” in a penalty shootout beat Spanish “Villarreal” in a match for the UEFA Super Cup. The meeting took place at Windsor Park Stadium in Belfast.

The main time of the match and two additional halves ended with a score of 1: 1. Hakim Ziesh (27th minute) scored for Chelsea, while Gerard Moreno (73) scored for Villarreal. In the 119th minute, Chelsea replaced the goalkeeper: Kepa Arrisabalaga came on instead of Edouard Mandy. The penalty shootout ended with a score of 6: 5 in favor of the Londoners, Arrisabalaga hit two shots from the point, Villarreal goalkeeper Sergio Asenjo hit one 11-meter.
Chelsea played its fifth match for the UEFA Super Cup and won the trophy for the second time in history. In 1998, the English team beat Real Madrid (1: 0). Villarreal claimed the Super Cup for the first time. Chelsea won the Champions League last season and Villarreal won the Europa League.
