Women in Asia look younger than their European peers. We decided to find out what beauty rituals they follow – and found a lot of interesting things.

Gradual washing
No Japanese or Korean woman will immediately wash her face with a cleansing gel. Regardless of whether there are cosmetics on the skin, they first apply a serum or hydrophilic oil to the skin. Asians believe that dust settles in the pores and needs to be removed. Only then are they washed with the usual foam or gel. By the way, an Asian woman will never use care products of different brands at the same time: gels, creams, serums, and lotions must be from the same brand and even a line. Such reverence for oneself originates in Buddhism, which teaches that the body does not belong to us, we take it for temporary use and should be treated as someone else’s property, carefully and cautiously.
Facial massage
A favorite ritual of Asian women, which they practice from an early age – facial massage. Basically, they prefer to massage Gouache with mineral stones – it is a very effective remedy for edema, in fact, typical of the people of Asia. But if there are no stones at hand, they simply massage the face with your hands along the massage lines and points. Asians believe that if you press on certain energy points, you can get rid of acne, wrinkles, and dull complexion. For example, if you massage a point under the lower lip for a minute, there will be swelling, and if you find a point between the eyebrows, rise a centimeter higher and massage for 2 minutes, the complexion will be healthier.
Sassi water
The girls walking around Beijing or Seoul have one thing in common: almost every one of them will have a bottle of Sassi water in their hands. Every night they fill a bottle with clean water, add ginger, lemon, lime, cucumber, and mint. This drink removes toxins and helps to easily comply with the drinking norm per day. Many fans of Sassi’s water are also among the stars – for example, Jay Lo, Irina Sheik, and Natalie Portman.
10,000 steps a day
Did you know that in Japan it was calculated that for health and beauty you need to walk at least 10,000 steps a day? Asians prefer a bicycle instead of a car, and instead of relaxing on park benches, they practice aikido and karate. Probably, thanks to it they in 80 years actively travel around the world, walk-in cities, and absolutely do not feel fatigued.
No sun
The stereotype that tanning is a sign of the common people dates back to antiquity. Asians consider white skin to be aristocratic and beautiful. And it plays into their hands! Unlike us European women, who are ready to get up at 6 am to sunbathe in the “safe” sun, Asian women choose closed clothes and apply a cream with a maximum of SPF. But the sun adds not only a bronze hue, but also wrinkles, aging skin, and dryness! Our skin under the influence of UV rays ages twice as fast!
So take up the secrets of Asian women: drink more water, walk more often, use a cream with SPF and you will be young and healthy.
