The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court (VAKS) has chosen a measure of restraint on bail to the deputy mayor of the Mykolaiv City Council Sergey Korenev who is suspected of possession of 26,8 million UAH of budgetary funds during the performance of works on reconstruction of the Cathedral Square in Mykolaiv. This was reported by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP).

“The precautionary measure to the deputy mayor of the Mykolaiv City Council suspected of embezzlement of 27 million hryvnias is chosen.
On August 12, 2021, at the request of NABU detectives, approved by the SAP prosecutor, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court chose a measure of restraint for the Deputy Mayor of the Mykolayiv City Council, one of the suspects in seizing 26.8 million hryvnias of budget funds during the reconstruction of Cathedral Square in Mykolayiv. message.
Thus, the court applied to the official a measure of restraint in the form of detention with an alternative bail of 3.5 million hryvnias.
On Tuesday, August 10, the Mykolaiv City Council exposed officials on the plunder of 26,8 million UAH, during the reconstruction of the Cathedral area in Mykolaiv.
