Law enforcement officers of four regions worked on the capture of the criminal – Odesa, Nikolaev, Kirovograd, and Vinnytsia. Now the detainee, by a court decision, was sent to a pre-trial detention center.

A correspondent of the Ukrainian Information Service reports this with reference to the press service of the Podolsk District Police Department.
Police suspect a resident of the Kirovograd region of the murder of a pensioner from the Podolsk region and an entrepreneur from Vinnytsia.
As the police found out, the detainee accompanied the 55-year-old resident of Vinnytsia on a trip to buy goods. While resting by the river, the men quarreled and a resident of Kirovograd punched his friend’s head. The suspect does not remember the reason for the quarrel, since, according to him, he was too drunk. He threw the body of the murdered man into the water, and himself got on his minibus and drove away.
The body of a man, who was wanted by law enforcement officers of the Vinnytsia region as missing, was found at the end of July on the banks of the Southern Bug River in the Podolsk district of the Odesa region, and his Mercedes-Benz was found in a field in the Kirovograd region, the police said.
The second murder, in which a resident of the Kirovograd region is suspected, took place on the territory of the Lyubashevsk community. A man came to the house of an 83-year-old man to steal money from him. And when the owner of the house noticed him, the citizen of Kirovograd strangled him, hit him with an ax, took 11 thousand hryvnias from the house, and fled.
The law enforcement officers qualified the actions of the malefactor as a robbery on a pensioner and premeditated murder of an elderly man out of mercenary motives, as well as premeditated murder of an entrepreneur, illegal seizure of his vehicle and property. Suspicions of the defendant were announced and placed in custody. For what he did, the man faces life imprisonment, say the police.
The police found out that the 36-year-old suspect was repeatedly convicted of theft and illegal seizure of vehicles. At the end of April, he was released from prison.
