KIEV. November 18. UNN. The initiative to support domestic producers should work not only on the part of the population, but also on the part of the state. A country that does not support its own producer is making a mistake. If the quantity and quality of Ukrainian tests for coronavirus are not inferior to foreign ones, the state should give them priority. This opinion was expressed in a comment to UNN by a well-known restaurateur and businessman in the field of services, energy and real estate Igor Tynny.
“Any country that does not try to support its own producer is a priori wrong,” – said the businessman.
In his opinion, if Ukraine has a well-established production of high-quality test systems for COVID-19, then there is no need to use foreign counterparts.
“If the number or quality of Ukrainian tests are not inferior – of course, they are a priority,” – concluded Tynny.
It will be recalled that the Rada criticized the government for buying billions of tests abroad for billions abroad instead of using Ukrainian ones.
The parliament believes that buying tests from a domestic manufacturer will make Ukraine independent of imports . Support for the national producer is also more expedient in terms of saving budget funds.
Earlier, UNN wrote that after the introduction of weekend quarantine among Ukrainians, the initiative to support domestic producers in various industries is gaining momentum . The well-known Ukrainian businessman even turned to President Volodymyr Zelensky with a corresponding initiative.
