A photo exhibition was opened on one of the central streets of Prague, where photos from the most significant events since Ukraine’s independence on August 24, 1991, were collected.
Kyiv. Ukraine. Ukraine Gate – August 15, 2021 – Ukraine society and culture
The exhibition was officially opened by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Czech Republic Yevhen Perebyinis.
“We want to tell Europeans and Czechs the truth about what happened in 2014: the occupation of Crimea, the aggression in Donbas, about our army. This exhibition is also unique because it also focuses on Czech-Ukrainian relations. For example, about Vaclav Havel and Ukraine and about Ukrainians who lived and still live here in the Czech Republic, “Perebyinis said.
The open-air exposition brought together diplomatic, cultural, scientific, and sporting events that took place in Ukraine since independence.
At the same time, the exhibition also includes photographs depicting the tragic events of modern Ukrainian history, such as the Russian aggression in Crimea and Donbas.
The exhibition “30 years of freedom” will last until August 30.
