In Ukraine, 2.27 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 have already been recorded, an increase over the day on August 18 – more than 1.5 thousand, an increase against the figure the day before. 665 people were hospitalized per day, which is almost at the level of the previous day. “As of August 18, 2021, 1,560 new confirmed cases of coronavirus COVID-19 have been recorded in Ukraine,” the Ministry of Health said.
Also for the past day:
665 people were hospitalized;
fatalities – 32;
898 people recovered.
tested: by PCR – 23,612 people, by ELISA – 7,968 people, by rapid tests – 19,013 people.
During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:
fell ill – 2,270,226 people;
recovered – 2,199,118 people;
fatalities – 53,368;
PCR tests were performed – 11,749,847.
Of the patients for the past day: children – 90, nurses – 35.
The largest number of confirmed cases in the last day registered in Kyiv (245), Kharkiv (130), Odesa (105), Ternopil (87), and Chernivtsi (82) oblasts.
According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 18th in distribution and 19th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.
