On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence, an exhibition of flowers “In the Universe of Maria Primachenko ” has opened at the Singing Field in Kyiv at 31 Lavrska Street.

According to Kyivzelenbud, almost 300,000 plants were planted to create 10 thematic flower canvases.
The heroes of the exhibition were fantastic characters from the paintings “Bears in the apiary”, “Polissya diver”, “Young lion”, “Dragon”, “Swamp beast”, “Blue bull”, “Third bull”, “Dove spread its wings, wants to land Mira “,” If Noah could draw “and other works of the famous artist. All figures are three-dimensional, some reach more than 4 meters in height.
The theme was chosen not by chance. In addition, at the exhibition, you can see large-scale figures of ballerinas in national clothes, which will move with the help of special animatronics.
The exhibition will run daily until September 19 from 10:00 to 20:00.
A ticket for an adult will cost UAH 100, for a child – UAH 25. Admission to the exhibition is free for children under 3 years of age, pensioners, large families, participants in anti-terrorist operations, disabled people of groups 1 and 2, and participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident.
Who is Maria Primachenko
Maria Oksentiivna Primachenko was a Ukrainian folk artist in the genre of “naive art”. Laureate of the National Prize of Ukraine named after TG Shevchenko. Honored Art Worker of the Ukrainian SSR, People’s Artist of Ukraine.
She has created more than 800 paintings, 650 works of which are stored in the National Museum of Ukrainian Folk Decorative Art.
According to UNESCO, 2009 was recognized as the year of Maria Primachenko.
