Charlotte is one of the most popular summer pies. Gentle, airy, fragrant, with a slight sourness – ideal for summer baking.
Ingredients:
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
3-4 apples
butter
breadcrumbs
ground cinnamon
Preparation:
Beat eggs with sugar until stiff foam, add sifted flour and mix gently. The dough should turn out the consistency of thick sour cream.
Peeled apples cut into small slices and season with cinnamon.
At the bottom of the form greased with butter and sprinkled with breadcrumbs pour a little dough, layout the cooked apples on it, and pour the dough.
Bake for 45-50 minutes at 180 ° C.
On a side note:
After baking, the surface of the hardened charlotte can be sprinkled with powdered sugar.
Apples are better use sweet and sour. Depending on the variety of apples and the level of their sweetness, adjust the sugar level.
To diversify the cake, use pears, plums, apricots, peaches, cherries as fillings. Take the fruit dense, not overripe.
In winter, charlotte can be baked with raisins and dried apricots.
The dough is flavored with vanillin if desired.
