A shootout broke out between Afghan security forces and unknown individuals near the Kabul airport in Afghanistan. This was reported by the Bundeswehr on Twitter.

“At 4:13 Central European Time this morning, there was a shootout between Afghan security forces and unknown assailants near the northern gates of Kabul airport. One Afghan security officer was killed and three were injured,” the German military said.
The US and German military were also involved in the incident. Bundeswehr soldiers were not injured.
After an 11-day offensive on August 15, Taliban militants entered Kabul without a fight and established full control of the Afghan capital within hours. Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has said he has resigned to prevent bloodshed and has left the country.
Western countries are evacuating their citizens and employees. For example, the United States has evacuated 30,000 people from Afghanistan since the fall of Kabul.
