To the sound of the national anthem and a gun salvo, the National Flag of Ukraine was raised on the new flagpole, which is located at the intersection of Klochkovskaya Street and Cathedral Descent. The height of the building turned out to be one meter higher than planned – 102 meters, the mayor’s office noted.
This is the tallest flagpole in Ukraine and Europe. On August 23, under the national anthem, the raising of the State Flag took place simultaneously in all regional centers of Ukraine.
