The ceremony of raising the State Flag of Ukraine took place today in the village of Mar’yanivka, Cherkasy region. The solemn event was attended by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. This was reported on the Facebook page of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

The flag was raised near the new art complex “Heart of Ukraine”. 25 pairs of wings represent 24 regions and the Ukrainian Crimea. Each pair of wings is decorated with an authentic ornament of the region. In the center of the composition, under the glass is a sculpture of a heart. If you get close to it, you can hear the pulse, which symbolizes the heartbeat of Ukraine.
Not far from the heart is the largest state flag in the Cherkasy region. The height of the flagpole is 52 m, the size of the canvas is 9 by 13 meters.
“On the 30th anniversary of the restoration of our independence, we will raise the flag right here – in the geographical center of Ukraine. This is where the heart of Ukraine beats. It is a symbol of the fact that it is much easier to climb up and be on top together. Thousands of state flags will be raised in the sky in all regions, in all cities, throughout Ukraine, and abroad, “Volodymyr Zelensky said.
