In Ukraine, 2.275 million cases of coronavirus COVID-19 were recorded, an increase over the day on August 23 – almost 700, a slight increase over the day before. 410 people were hospitalized per day, which is almost at the level of the previous day. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

“For the day of August 23, 2021, in Ukraine, 692 new confirmed cases of coronavirus COVID-19 were recorded,” the Ministry of Health said.
Also for the past day:
410 people were hospitalized;
fatalities – 27;
345 people recovered.
tested: by PCR – 17,236 people, by ELISA – 3,802 people, by rapid tests – 14,820 people.
During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:
fell ill – 2,275,863 people;
recovered – 2,201,778 persons;
fatalities – 53,501;
PCR tests were performed – 11,844,497.
Of the patients for the past day: children – 54, nurses – 4.
Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv (132), Odesa (84), Kharkiv (84), Luhansk (62), and Chernivtsi (47) oblasts.
According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 18th in distribution and 19th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.
