Ukraine received SDR 1.9 billion (equivalent to $ 2.7 billion) under a special borrowing rights (SDR) decision of approximately $ 650 billion from the International Monetary Fund ( IMF ).

This was announced by Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Kateryna Rozhkova on her Facebook page.
“Today, 1.9 billion SDRs have been transferred to Ukraine’s IMF account! These are funds of a new issue that the IMF Board of Directors has distributed among the countries in proportion to their capital in the IMF. A wonderful gift for Independence Day!” She wrote.
As UNIAN reported, today the decision of the International Monetary Fund on the distribution of special drawing rights (SDRs) in the amount of approximately 650 billion US dollars came into force, of which Ukraine will receive 2.7 billion dollars.
According to MP, First Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Yaroslav Zheleznyak, with the allocation of funds from the International Monetary Fund in the distribution of additional issuance of special drawing rights and over fulfillment of the budget revenue plan Ukraine will calmly pass the peak of debt payments in September.
