On August 24, in the center of Kyiv, a temporary traffic restriction will be introduced from 6:00 to 22:00 to mark the 30th anniversary of the restoration of Independence.

Traffic will be blocked for these hours on Khreshchatyk, Independence Square, Marshal Rybalka, Vyacheslav Chornovil, Victory Square, Starovokzalnaya, Bessarabian Square, Lev Tolstoy Square, Velyka Vasylkivska; Academician Tupolev; Ivan Fedorov; Lybidska Square; European Square; Vladimir Descent; Borychev descent; Naberezhno-Khreschatytska; Lower Shaft;
In addition, the restrictions apply to Hlybochyts’kyi travel; Petrivska Alley; Park road; Dnieper Descent; Embankment Highway; Naberezhno-Khreschatytska; Bohdan Khmelnytsky; Vladimir; Leo Tolstoy; Saksagansky.
Also from 6:00 to 7:30 traffic will be restricted on the streets: Zhylyanska; Victory Avenue (the opposite lane to the left of the Air Fleet Bridge); Antonovich.
Until 16:00, traffic is restricted on Shevchenko Boulevard in the direction of Khreshchatyk.
06:00 until the end of the event will be prohibited: on Trohsvyatitelskaya Street, European Square and Mykhailo Hrushevsky Street (to Kriposny Lane); Independence Square (from Khreschatyk Street to Kostyolna Street), Mykhailivska Street and Velyka Zhytomyrska Street and Streletska Street; Kostyolna Street; Lipska Street (from Hrushevskoho to Institutska); Institutska Street (from Shovkovychna to Olhynska); Park Road, Petrivska Alley and Dniprovsky Descent; exit from Hrushevskoho ? 9a to Park Road.
A traffic ban will also be imposed on: Malaya Zhytomyrska Street (up to Sofia Square), Sofiivska Street, Luteranska Street (from Zankovetska Street to Shovkovychna Street), Shovkovychna Street (from Lutheran Street to Institutska Street), and Fizkultury Street.
Metro work
The entrance and exit from the metro stations “Maidan Nezalezhnosti” and “Khreschatyk” to the Alley of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred will be temporarily closed until the solemn events are completed. The subway will continue its work for two hours.
