The Paralympic Games begin in Tokyo today. The opening ceremony of the Paralympics will take place at 14:00.

4400 people from 168 countries will take part in the Paralympic Games. Ukraine will be represented by 143 athletes in 15 sports out of 22 possible, namely: badminton, rowing, cycling (track, highway), goalball, judo, athletics, table tennis, powerlifting, para canoe, para-triathlon, swimming, shooting, shooting with bows, taekwondo, fencing on carts.
For the first time, Ukrainians will be represented in goalball, badminton, and taekwondo.
The Paralympic Summer Games will last 12 days. Representatives of 168 countries will compete for 540 sets of awards in 22 sports.
The Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games announced that the upcoming Paralympics in Tokyo will take place without spectators.
