President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Vsevolod Chentsov as Ukraine’s representative to the European Union.

“To appoint Chentsov Vsevolod Valeriyovych as the Representative of Ukraine to the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community,” the decree reads.
On April 6, Volodymyr Zelenskyi fired Mykola Tochytskyi, head of Ukraine’s mission to the European Union.
Toczycki has held the position of head of the EU mission since 2016, combining it with the position of ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg.
In April 2021, the President dismissed Chentsov as Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Permanent Representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
Vsevolod Chentsov:
Vsevolod Chentsov was born in 1974 in Drohobych, Lviv region. He graduated from Lviv State University. I. Franko (jurisprudence). He has been a career diplomat at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine since 1996. He worked abroad in the embassies of Ukraine in the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Poland, as well as in the Delegation of Ukraine to the European Union.
In addition, Chentsov held the position of Director of the European Union Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
