The Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts has died at the age of 80.

It is known that the death of the drummer was reported by his agent. Charlie Watts died in the family circle.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Charlie Watts,” the statement said.
“Today he died peacefully in a London hospital surrounded by his family.”
The statement said he was “a beloved husband, father, and grandfather” and “one of the iconic drummers of his generation.”
The statement added: “We kindly ask you to respect the privacy of his family, group members, and close friends at this difficult time.”
Earlier it was reported that Watts will miss the group’s tour of the United States due to an unspecified medical procedure. In 2004, he was treated for throat cancer.
Charlie Watts has been a member of the Stones since January 1963, when he joined Mick Jagger, Kate Richards, and Brian Jones in their young group.
