Titovits said passenger traffic increased by about 25 percent during the tourist season; The border guards have recorded a significant increase in the movement of passengers who are on vacation in Ukraine.
According to him, from June to August about 3 million people crossed the border through the Boryspil checkpoint – to enter and leave Ukraine, among them, about 300,000 foreigners entered Ukraine, which is 10 percent of the total influx.
“Most of the tourists were from the Arab world, Turkey, and the European Union,” Titovits noted.
This is due to the opening of new destinations with Arab countries, in particular Saudi Arabia.
He added, “We immediately made a significant increase in the entry of citizens of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the citizens of the State of Qatar.”
“In the past two months, about 30,000 foreign tourists from these countries entered Ukraine,” said Titovets.
