The Embassy of Ukraine in the United States and the Office of the President are completing preparations for Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit to Washington on August 31 and September 1. Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova wrote about this on Facebook.

Markarova noted that the president will stay in Washington for two days – August 31 and September 1, then visit California.
“As already planned in Washington – a meeting of the Presidents of Ukraine and the United States in the White House, the main components of this meeting have already been planned and agreed by both sides, meetings with heads of key Ukrainian-American ministries, as well as two important public presentations by the President and First Lady. representatives of the media, the public and information, and analytical centers. In addition, the opening of the Ukrainian House is planned, as well as a visit to the landmarks of Washington, which are significant for the relations between Ukraine and the United States, ”the statement reads.
The meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Joe Biden, scheduled for August 31, has been postponed to September 1.
According to the Office of the President, the leaders of the two countries are to discuss Russian aggression in Crimea and Donbas, Kyiv’s energy security, the fight against corruption, and democratic reform projects.
