August 31, 2021 – The Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) announced the launch of the Technological Development Center 4.0 (ABCC 4.0 Space) to boost the momentum of trade growth between Brazil and the Arab world, in line with its efforts to raise its social, economic and technological standards in line with the highest international standards. During the virtual event, the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce revealed three initiatives that include the implementation of the “Ellos Blockchain” platform to digitally store all supply chain records, the formation of an “innovation committee” to facilitate discussions related to modern technology, in addition to the launch of a business incubator. CCAB Lab, which is specifically designed to stimulate the internationalization of start-ups, high-growth companies, and technology-based companies in the Arab and Brazilian markets.

The COVID-19 pandemic has prompted us to intensify our endeavors to accelerate our digital transformation, by exploring advanced technologies and developing innovative frameworks such as the Blockchain-based Elos platform, CCAB Lab, and the Innovation Committee, along with side by side
With the adoption of virtual work settings and other initiatives aimed at enhancing the flow of business and investment between Brazil and the Arab world.”
Shahfa added: “Through the launch of the Center for Technological Development 4.0, we look forward to strengthening the strong links between the Brazilian and Arab trade and economic system, as well as activating information dissemination channels and expanding our operations further within the target markets. We expect our quality initiative to benefit our societies, as we continue to implement ambitious strategies to advance our economic and diplomatic agenda.”
Shahfa concluded: “Investment in modern industrial technologies is critical to maintaining production efficiency, a fact confirmed by the experience of companies that achieved great success during the first waves of the pandemic. We will continue to keep pace with the Fourth Industrial Revolution by integrating technologies and smart machines to automate processes, reduce waste and enhance product quality in our multi-continental community of trading partners.”
The Chamber has developed the Elos platform as a digital tool for keeping records and synchronizing data in an effort to simplify commercial transactions, communication methods, and document supply chain transactions. Track all information related to any commodity sold in the Brazilian and Arab markets, including export activities and commercial and banking transactions. This step allows buyers to know product data by electronically scanning the QR code on product packaging, which will enhance the quality of goods and increase customer satisfaction levels. Using blockchain technology, stakeholders can review hard data that allows them to view the product lifecycle, from manufacturing to transportation to point of sale.
The Chamber also recently launched the “CCAB Lab”, which is a business incubator that aims to bring companies and innovation agencies in the Arab and Brazilian region closer, and its efforts are focused on providing training support for startups, and enhancing communication and coordination between the concerned parties to facilitate the sharing of innovative best practices. Through this ambitious project, the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce will promote innovation and corporate technology within the Chamber’s commercial community. The Innovation Committee will continue to monitor the work progress of the CCAB Lab, organize regular meetings to discuss the most important developments and transformations, and enhance communication between partners and stakeholders.
It is noteworthy that the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce plays a pivotal role in stimulating cooperation and partnerships between Arab countries and Brazil. Over the course of more than six decades of its establishment, the Chamber has taken the initiative to conclude strategic partnerships
Extensively with governments and business communities to facilitate free trade agreements. Today, the Chamber continues to move forward with its approach that combines the stimulation of traditional trade channels and the support of modern technologies.
