Ten Ukrainian higher education institutions are included in The Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

World University Rankings is one of the world’s largest rankings, which is based on the main tasks of universities – to teach, research, share knowledge and develop international cooperation.
This year’s ranking includes more than 1,600 universities from 99 countries and territories.
Ukrainian universities among the world’s institutions are located in the following positions:
Sumy State University (501-600 place);
Lviv Polytechnic National University (601-800 place);
Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (1001-1200 place);
Dnipro National University named after Potter (1201+ place);
Lviv National University named after Frank (1201+ place);
National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” (1201+ place);
NTUU “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky” (1201+ place);
Kyiv National University named after Shevchenko (1201+ place);
Kharkiv National University named after Karazina (1201+ place);
Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University (1201+ place).
The world leader is Oxford University. The second place in the ranking is shared by the California Institute of Technology and Harvard University.
