The Saudi Camel Club and the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture are scheduled to organize an international conference on camel economics on the sidelines of the sixth edition of the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival next December.

The conference will review international experiences and practices on how to use and manufacture camel products.
It will also consider new methods of maintaining local practices of nutrition in accordance with modern practices of economic and social development.
Participants will discuss camel traditions, biodiversity conservation, and climate change adaptation and mitigation.
The conference will create a comprehensive camel industry that will develop community revenues by raising two million camels, representing 7 percent of the livestock in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
